New Brighton Kite Day

I have got to admit, this event was months ago but I’ll just post about it anyway because it was a splendid experience for me. Kite Day is an annual event organized by the Christchurch City Council (CCC) and the last time I went was during my Primary school days. Quite a long time I’d say.
Here are some details on the event:

Name: Kite Day
Date: 20th January 2019
Place: New Brighton Beach, Christchurch, New Zealand.
Admission Fee: Free for all
Check out CCC's website for more info on this event.

So I went with my family and friends to the beach and it was spectacular. Kites of all shapes and sizes were flying high up in the clear blue sky. There were even cute little crab-shaped kites along the seabed. It was nice to see lots of families flocking to the beach and having picnics under the kites together, the wind was quite strong- perfect for the kites to keep afloat.

Dragons and classic cartoon characters like Super Mario all made their presence on that day. Felt kinda nostalgic, to be honest, and I loved it. I would definitely recommend going to this event for a short family outing or even to hang out with friends. Can't quite fit into any of these groups? Don't worry, coming here alone is completely fine- anyone could use some fresh air once in a while, right?

Quick Reminder

Hey guys! So as I have said in my previous post, this is my comeback to the blogging world after leaving it for roughly 6 years. As I have indeed grown older, I have decided to design a new theme for my blog. While I still will be posting as regularly as possible on my daily routines as I did previously, my blog would also showcase posts on travel destinations that I have been to myself or even plan to go in the future. I have big dreams to travel the world so lets hope my dreams don’t continue to just stay as dreams. Look forward and stay tuned to my upcoming posts!

And yes, I'm currently living in New Zealand. I first came here in 2007 when my mum did her Ph.D. at the University of Canterbury (UC), Christchurch. In around 2011 we came back to Malaysia after the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake. And in early 2012, we came back to New Zealand for the completion of my mum's Ph.D. Her Ph.D period was extended because of the damage the earthquake had done toward the university buildings (UC was closed down, no entry at all) and also because she was pregnant with my little brother. By the end of 2012, we went back to Malaysia.

I continued my education in Malaysia, which was honestly tiring and stressful. High school life was completely hectic. Upon finishing my SPM exams, I returned to New Zealand in early 2019 so that I can continue tertiary studies here. Complicated, right? In order to enter uni here, of course, I need NCEA credits. So now I am studying in Burnside High to take NCEA Level 3 and hopefully get enough credits to start doing a Bachelors Degree majoring in Data Science at UC by 2020. Wish me luck!

A letter to my dying blog (the start of a new beginning)

Okay, it's 2019 and I just can't recall the last time I actually did post anything for my blog. Blogging has been such a nostalgic memory of my earlier childhood days, and I owe my primary school (Isleworth Primary, Christchurch, New Zealand) for introducing me to this. I used to be so devoted to this blog, posting about even the most random life occurrences.

I did think of just deleting this blog, but I can't seem to bring myself to actually do that considering that this blog does contain memories of my past. When I first started blogging, I was merely a primary school kid but now 2019- I'm already gearing up for university. Things have been hectic these couple years and I feel so bad for not being devoted enough to continue this hobby. I will try to revive this blog at all costs, and if anyone who's reading this actually is a previous reader from my earlier years, I am so happy that you actually kept up with this silly blog.

Anyways, I will try to be more active so please do look forward to my posts!
I will also change the theme and layout of my blog to be more mature as I (like any other person) has aged and grown out of my childhood.
