Languages

Hey guys. I really love languages. Do you?

I love my mother tongue, Malay. I love my second language, English.  I love my third language, Arabic. And I absolutely love French (I'm learning it at school)!!
The thing is, languages is the key to communication. So the more you grasp of it, the more successful you are at communicating. :)
Also it will come in handy if you're multilingual, and you're travelling around the world (That's on my bucket list.. Heheheh)

One of my friends know how to order food in almost every language. Wow, surely she will never get starved while travelling. I wish I could do that. I love eating. LOL, who doesn't?

Anyway,
That's it for now,
Enough of my blah-blahness.
Hehe.

With love, Anis XXXX

Cross country practice

Today, we continued our cross country practice after a day off school. My goal was to do seven laps and finally, I did it (Well, sort of)! I was close to the finish line for seven laps when the teacher called out the final countdown, "3, 2, 1!". I sprinted to get there, but I couldn't reach the finish line. I was so close! My teacher said that since I was very close to the finish line, she counted that lap. Well, at that time, I couldn't feel my knees. Before I sprinted, my knees were like jelly, but I sprinted because I really wanted my running team to win and also because I was so close to the finish line! I hope I do better at the real cross country!

Cross Country - Practice

Well, today, was the first day of term 2. Now, we had to wear our winter uniform. Today, I looked on the whiteboard to see what activities were planned for the day. First, we did the Roll and then, my class teacher told our class the notices for the day. After that, we did our spelling and word study activities. Time passed and the bell rung. Everyone quickly went to get their morning tea. Today for morning tea, I ate an apple and oat crunch. We quickly went to our math classes after the bell rung. In my maths class, we listened to a One Direction maths song. It was awkward, but, kinda interesting. After maths, we went back to our main class. The next thing we did was the cross country preparation. Our teacher told us about the track and rules. We also got told our running groups. I was in the lydiards group. In my group, there is one boy and four girls including me. The thing is that every day, before cross country, our syndicate has to practice for cross country. We have 20 minutes to run as many laps as possible. The team members in each group will get a point for every lap they run. Then, you add the total points in your team. After four days, we will count the total points collected by each team. The team with the most points in each class gets to have a prize! I really want my team to win! Today, I already ran 6 laps. The total for my team today is 24 points.
I'll have to try to get seven laps tomorrow...

Ouch!

Two days ago, I was in the kitchen with my grandma and little brother. Chop! Chop Chop! I was too busy to notice that it came up to my finger and made tears cover my face. I wasn't careful with the knife and accidentally made a cut on my finger. That's what happens if you're not being careful with the knife. I'm going to be careful from now on because I don't want to do that again.

I can't believe I'm actually here...

On the 16th of March, I came to New Zealand with my family and also with my grandma. It's been over a year since I last came been here. I thought I'd never come here again, but, here I am! I really like New Zealand for its beautiful views and I like how friendly the people are. But, I really miss Malaysia. I miss all of my friends, teachers, school, house and also my cousins in Malaysia. Well, it doesn't matter, I'll be going back to Malaysia soon. The good thing is that I get to see some of my old friends from when I was in Primary School. After Aorangi Primary got shut down by the government, I move to Isleworth Primary. Most of my friends from Aorangi moved to Burnside Primary so I felt kinda sad to be separated from my closest friends. Since we're already in Year 7, we now have to go to an Intermediate School. The biggest Intermediate School in our residing area is Cobham Intermediate School so when I came to Cobham, I finally got the chance to reunite with old Aorangi Primary friends. They've all grown taller and I couldn't recognize some of them. It was one of the happiest moments in my life!
